STRUCTURAL ENGINEER II | (Beverly Hills, MI)
Responsibilities Include: Design and perform calculations of structural steel and concrete structures. Maintain and organize drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Coordinate with other disciplines i.e., architectural, mechanical, electrical, to ensure coordination of construction documents. Review shop drawing submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate with PM, Architect, Design Professionals, other disciplines, Owner, Contractors to ensure necessary processes will be supported. Communicate scope changes to PM/supervisor and project team. Conduct site visits for field measuring and verification of existing conditions. Maintain continuing professional education in discipline. Take part in client contact and business development opportunities. Meet with clients to determine project scope. May supervise, coordinate, or review the work of a team of engineers. Less than 5% domestic travel. M.S. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
24 months experience as Architect, Graduate Research Assistant, Environmental Consultant, or a related position in the structural engineering field focusing on Industrial facility design.
24 Months Experience In: Industrial facility design, Construction Drawings, Building Information modeling, Field Survey Analysis for Existing Conditions Drawings, Bluebeam, Autodesk software, and Revit.
40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER II | (Beverly Hills, MI)
Responsibilities Include:Provide technical design support to the Mechanical Design team. Prepare schematic designs, construction documents and specifications in compliance with owner's requirements and ensure governmental code compliance. Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates. Assist in construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, conduct field / site surveys and observations. Collaborate and coordinate design with engineers, architects, designers, owners, product manufacturers, vendors and building contractors as required. Develop mechanical system layouts and identify equipment sizing/selection. Perform plumbing schematic design of air systems, fans, ducting, etc. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and content of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines. Maintain continuing professional education in discipline. Attend coordination meetings and conduct site visits as required. Domestic Travel less than 5 %.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering, or mechanical engineering technology, or a closely related field.
University Coursework Must Have Included: Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics, Engineering Economics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Manufacturing Processes.
